Chevron’s Fuel Your School campaign supports public education in Davis County schools by helping educators receive funding for eligible projects through DonorsChoose.org.
Chevron is committed to supporting education—particularly in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)— to help communities thrive in the 21st century economy.
In October when consumers fuel up with 8 or more gallons at a local participating Chevron or Texaco station, one dollar is donated, up to $500,000 to help fund projects at local schools in the Davis School District and districts in Salt Lake County.
Teachers are invited to register their projects on DonorsChoose.org beginning in early September. We are proud to announce that the Chevron Fuel Your School Program generated $750,000 to help fund 948 classroom projects, including 473 focused on STEM, to help connect real-world experiences to classroom learning for 91,580 students in 346 public schools in Salt Lake, Davis, and Utah counties.
Davis County School District received $76,190 for 107 projects in 2016.
DonorsChoose is an online charity dedicated to addressing the need for learning materials. The organization reviews and approves project submissions, purchases materials once the project is fully funded and ensures that materials are delivered to the classroom.
