At Davis School District, recognizing a student’s individual needs is a top priority. Our goal is to promote independence for all students to enable them to receive the most appropriate education possible. We offer a funding resource to help students and families create individual independence at home and school.

Individuals can apply for up to $1,000. Some requests may require a match. Grants applications are due on the first day of each month and will be reviewed by the Special Needs Inclusion Grant Committee (SNIGC).

Examples of items that could be funded include but are not limited to:

  • Wheelchairs
  • Bicycles
  • Hearing aids
  • Speech machines
  • Protective helmets
  • Swing
  • iPads

All grants are funded by generous donors. Each awardee will be required to submit the following:

  • Photograph of the items purchased being utilized
  • Paragraph explaining how this grant and purchase has enhanced and enriched the life of the student
  • Thank you note from the parent or guardian
