NCAA Eligibility
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates student athletics among about 1,100 schools in the United States and one in Canada. It organizes the athletic programs of colleges and helps over 500,000 college student athletes who compete annually in college sports. The NCAA is divided into three divisions:
Division I: The largest and most competitive division, with the most well-known schools and athletes.
Division II: A smaller division with a focus on academics and athletics.
Division III: The smallest division, with a focus on academics and participation in athletics.
The NCAA is responsible for:
Organizing and managing college sports This includes setting eligibility rules, scheduling games, and running championships.
Promoting the values of college sports The NCAA emphasizes the importance of academics, sportsmanship, and character development.
Protecting the well-being of student-athletes The NCAA has rules and regulations in place to ensure that student-athletes are treated fairly and have a safe and positive experience.
The NCAA is an important organization for college sports. It helps to ensure that college sports are fair, competitive, and enjoyable for all involved.

Download the Eligibility Worksheet Here and fill it out with your NCAA approved classes to determine if you are on track to compete the required 16 classes, and to see if your GPA for these classes qualify you for membership.

Open a NCAA account.
An NCAA account is a type of account that is required for student-athletes who want to compete in college sports at the Division I, Division II, or the Division III level. There are Three main types of NCAA accounts:
Academic and Amateurism Certification Account: This account is required for all student-athletes who want to compete at the Division I or Division II level. It is used to track the student-athlete's academic progress and amateur status. The account also allows student-athletes to register for official visits and sign National Letters of Intent (NLIs). There is a $100 fee associated with creating this account.
Amateurism-Only Certification Account: This account is required for international student-athletes who want to compete at the Division III level. It is used to track the student-athlete's amateur status. There is a fee associated with creating this account.
Free Profile Page account: Student-athletes unsure in which division they want to compete; students registering to play at NCAA-certified basketball events; students younger than ninth grade; or domestic student-athletes who plan to compete at a Division III school, our free Profile Page account is the right choice. The Profile Page account is best practice as the place to start for most student-athletes, and can be transitioned to either Certification account when needed.

Submit Your Transcript
Once you have a paid account, you may submit your transcript to the NCAA clearing house. Colleges will then be able to download your transcript and consider you as a student athlete. To do this, upgrade to a paid NCAA account and let Mr. Smith know so that he can upload your transcript. He is also available for NCAA consultation about classes, eligibility, Etc.
