Teen Center Supplies

In Davis County, more than 1,700 children experience homelessness. The Davis Education Foundation has taken significant steps to support these students by repurposing existing spaces in high schools to create Teen Centers. These centers offer students in need a safe and welcoming place to shower, do laundry, and study, helping them focus on their education despite challenging circumstances.

Teen Centers are available at all Davis School District high schools, providing critical support to students throughout the county. Donations from the community play a crucial role in maintaining these spaces and ensuring they are equipped with the essentials.

Purchase cards for fast food or local grocery stores.  (i.e. McDonalds, Walmart, Smith's, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Jimmy John's, Winco, etc.)

Meal Gift Cards

Food insecurity is a harsh reality for over 13,000 students in the Davis School District. For many of these children, school is the one place where they can count on a hot meal. However, when school is out for the weekend, or during longer breaks like winter break, these students often go without proper nourishment.

How to Help

Meal gift cards offer a simple yet effective way to help bridge this gap. By providing students with meal cards, you give them access to food when they aren't at school, ensuring they don't go hungry during these critical times. Meal cards are flexible, allowing students and their families to choose meals from local restaurants or grocery stores, giving them autonomy and dignity in their food choices.

Your donation of meal gift cards can make a significant impact on a child's life. It not only provides the physical sustenance they need but also alleviates stress and worry about where their next meal will come from. This support can help them return to school ready to learn and participate fully in their education.

If you'd like to contribute meal gift cards to students in need, please contact our office for more details. Every card helps ensure that no child enrolled in the Davis School District goes without food when they're away from school.
