Farmington, Utah — The Davis Chamber of Commerce has announced that Jodi Lunt, Executive Director of the Davis Education Foundation, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2024 Legacy Award. This award honors individuals who have made significant, lasting contributions to the community, recognizing their dedication and impact.
Under Lunt's leadership, the Davis Education Foundation has expanded its support for the Davis School District, implementing programs that remove educational barriers and provide essential resources to students. Her efforts have ensured that every child in the district has access to quality education and the necessary tools for success.
“We are thrilled to recognize Jodi with our highest honor, the Legacy Award,” said Angie Osguthorpe, President of the Davis Chamber of Commerce. “Jodi’s dedication aligns with our mission of supporting excellence and community development in Davis County. No one is more deserving of this award.”
Lunt's career in education spans 34 years, beginning as a teacher and advancing through roles as a specialist, curriculum supervisor, and director of various educational programs. Her visionary leadership has led to significant achievements, including the construction of eleven Teen Centers in the Davis School District and a 16-bed residential center for students experiencing housing insecurity. Lunt also serves on numerous boards and committees, including the Show-Up Executive Advisory Board for First Lady Abby Cox and the Utah Public Schools Foundation Association.

The Davis Education Foundation, under Lunt's guidance, has also been awarded 16 Best of State Awards.
The Legacy Award will be presented at the Davis Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Banquet on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Davis Conference Center. The event, emceed by Davis Chamber Executive Board Member and Lagoon General Manager Terry Capener, will feature a pirate-themed or semi-formal dress code, themed pictures, a three-course meal, and an exciting awards presentation.
